Just for You

It's easy to lose sight of yourself when it comes to pregnancy and parenting. As moms, we tend to focus on our failures more than on our successes. It's important to remember that we deserve praise, too, and that it's okay to give it to ourselves.

You haven't slept in days
And there's spit up on your shirt
Your new perfume is urine
Thanks to your little squirt.

You haven't brushed your hair,
Forget about a shower
Grubby hands and dirty feet
Now hold all the power.

Your voice is what will sooth her
When she's sick or hurt or sleepy
You aren't crazy just because
Commercials make you weepy.

When you're feeling overwhelmed
When your energy hits zero
Just remember you're his mom
And you're his superhero!

You're amazing - you turn multitasking into a sport.

You're strong - you carry a person around constantly.

You're brave - you wipe someone else's butt all day without throwing up.

You're beautiful - your body was your child's first home.

You're a great mom - you feed, change, bathe, comfort, protect, amuse, and love your child every second of every day.

Give yourself the
credit you deserve!
